Katrina Kaif is the brand ambassador of Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, an official said.

In the presence of Etihad Airways’ vice-president (Marketing) Andrew Ward and and country manager (India) Neerja Bhatia, the announcement will be made in Mumbai on Tuesday.

According to an official, “positioning itself as a frontrunner in the increasingly competitive luxury airline segment, Etihad Airways is constantly developing and communicating its unmatched and uncompromised service to patrons.”

“With a vision to be a truly 21st century global airline, the association with Katrina Kaif will further symbolize Etihad Airways’ brand attributes, showcasing young, premium and fresh approach to service in the air and on the ground,” the official added.

Katrina, currently ranks as the top Bollywood star and has soared to this position in less than seven years, which has resulted in a string of awards to her credit.

Filming will begin in September. Following the postponement of Dostana 2, Katrina had dates available immediately.

This will be Imran’s first film with YRF, as also his first screen pairing with Katrina. Katrina earlier worked with YRF’s New York (2009) where Zafar was the assistant director.

Katrina kaif looked elegant and simple in a white black outfit.

After starring in the hit Ajab prem ki Gajab kahani, the hit pair of Ranbir kapoor and Katrina kaif will be seen in the political thriller Rajneeti.

The movie is directed by Prakash jha and also stars Ajay devgn, Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles.

Ranbir Kapoor will play the talented but temperamental singer and actor.

UTV is producing the film having purchased the rights for it from Kishore’s surviving wife Leena Chandavarkar.

According to Mid Day, Katrina has been studying Madhubala in preparation for the role, watching her films such as Mughal e Azam, Chalti Ka Naam Gadi and Mahal.

The biopic is expected to feature the nostalgic song sequence Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si performed by Kishore and Madhubala in the film Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.

Kishore’s first marriage to Ruma Guha Thakurta aka Ruma Ghosh lasted from 1950 to 1958.

He married Madhubala, a leading Bollywood actress of the time, in 1960, against many odds. His family was opposed to the marriage because Madhubala was a Muslim. Madhubala was also ill when Kishore proposed to her, and her father was keen to get her treated in London first.

Kishore converted to Islam and took the name Karim Abdul for the marriage.

The two entered into a civil union but later had a Hindu marriage ceremony to mollify Kishore’s family.

Madhubala’s illness was later diagnosed as a ventricular septal defect and she died of it in 1969.

Kishore Kumar’s third marriage was to Bollywood actress Yogeeta Bali in 1976 lasted two years. He was married to Leena Chandavarkar from 1980 until his death.

Katrina Kaif, who is actively promoting her mother’s charity, seems uninterested in his beau Salman’s NGO Being Human.

Recently, we got to know that the actress is busy in charitable work for her mother’s trust which fights against female infanticide. But the lady has been ignoring Salman’s NGO. And the actress appears uninterested to work for Being Human.

Katrina Kaif is one actress who stays in news more for her personal reasons than professional. This happens, despite the fact that she has been delivering more hits than any other actress in recent years.

In a recent interview with her, when asked about what she meant by she getting married in a couple of years, she say’s

“Actually I am the one to blame. I was the one who had said that maybe I would be married in two years time. But things are different now and there is still time before I get married. As the saying goes, ‘man proposes, God disposes’, every time we make a plan God changes it.”

“I have learnt not to make plans in life, because a lot of time you make a plan that is not going to work for you. Right now I am working on my career and trying to be genuine to my work. If you respect what you have got, God will give you what you need.”

When asked about her up-coming film Raajneeti, and how hard it was working in a serious film like that, she says,

“When one works in a serious film people think that maybe more work has gone into it. But the fact is that to make a successful film is the hardest thing. Every film of mine which has been a success has been equally hard – be it ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ and ‘Singh is Kinng’ or ‘New York’ and ‘Raajneeti’. Whether it’s a comedy or a serious film, moviemaking is a serious business and there is lot of money dragging on it. I give it my 100 percent.”

She says she is not comfortable acting on small screens and her limit on small screens would be restricted only to ads.

She brushes away all the rumours about her link-up with actor Ranbir Kapoor by saying; all those reports are completely untrue.
