The movie, directed by Kabir Khan of ‘New York’ fame, has a story that is set against the backdrop of many metropolises throughout the world. The next schedule will be in Cuba.

Cuba has been specifically chosen as the shooting destination because of Salman Khan’s neurological condition that gets aggravated in cold climes.

Salman Khan underwent a surgery for the disorder in August last year, but the problem resurfaced when he shot in Dublin later in the year because of the cold. This will be Katrina Kaif’s first visit to Cuba. Buzz is that she is very concerned about Salman Khan’s health and will make sure he doesn’t strain himself too much during the shoot.

Salman, on the other hand, has been very protective of Katrina Kaif from the start. The care and affection between the two is mutual, but calling it “love” would be an exaggeration as of now..

Several offers fell on Kat’s lap to perform ‘Chikni Chameli’ on New Year’s Eve. But, she turned them down the offers because she wanted to celebrate the occasion with her family. But according to sources, she will now be performing at an awards function on Saturday.

 

She has asked the organisers to arrange for special costumes for her maiden performance on the number. She will be performing on a medley consisting several of her hit songs including ‘Sheila Ki Jawani.

The duo are expected to have a song-and-dance routine to a number composed by A R Rahman. Kochadaiyaan will likely be a 3-D release using motion capture technology similar to Hollywood‘s Avatar. Katrina has never acted in a Kollywood movie, although she has done two Tollywood releases, namely Malliswari and Pidugu, and Mollywood production Balaram Vs Taradas.

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif is the world’s most searched for celebrity so far as mobile videos are concerned. Kaif beats the likes of global pop star Britney Spears, says the Global Video Insights report by Vuclip.

Not too long ago, Kaif topped the list of the Sexiest Women 2011 conducted by the world’s largest men’s lifestyle magazine -FHM, based entirely on online polls and SMS with over 35,000 entries being cast this year.

She was also the only Bollywood actress to feature on the India Today’s Elite Power list and has the most Google searches than any other Indian celebrity. Kaif was immortalized by Mattel who created a one-of a-kind ‘I Can Be a Movie Star’ Barbie Doll sketched on her image.

“When YRF offered Kat a serious film like New York, everyone thought she was going to fall flat on her face. But the movie cleverly played up Kat’s plus points. Now, with the brownie points she’s earned for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, YRF’s faith in her seems to be well-founded.”

But Kat isn’t saying anything about her recently cemented position as the go-to girl for YRF. “See, we’re all trying to do our best,” she says. “It’s good to shoot for a film when you have a great script.” If only Kat would get down her diplomatic horse…we’d love to hear some juicy comments for a change.

Katrina Kaif recently suffered a big oops moment on the sets of Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin. Katrina’s outfit was obviously not the most practical for a shot which involved a bike ride. As Ms Kaif stumbled off the bike, her dashing ex beau and co-star Salman Khan reached out in the nick of time before the shot could get even more disastrous!

Not just that, Katrina even fell off the cycle.

According to the online poll and the SMS entries, the magazine has stated that the actress’s average rating was ahead of the iconic cricket star Sachin Tendulkar. The poll results also illustrated that this sexy actress didn’t seem to have hard-hitting competition from the 2010’s sexiest title winner Deepika Padukone, as Kat quite easily hopped into the first place this time. Katrina, who earlier won the title in 2008 and 2009, had apparently charmed the audiences for the third time with the item number ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ last year.

Katrina is the only actress to have won thrice: Katrina, who has supposedly won the title through the online poll and SMS conducted by FHM, had the response of 35,000 entries.

Speaking about Katrina’s sexiest title, Kabeer Sharma, Executive Editor of FHM India stated, “We’d love to say 2011 was a close contest, only Sheila made sure it was far from. A feat that becomes even more significant because no woman in the world across all 28 editions of FHM has ever won the Sexiest Woman in the World title three times in the last 17 years that we’ve been making the list. “Her average is higher than Sachin Tendulkar’s and she replaces Deepika Padukone who won the crown in 2010.”

Salman Khan plays a special agent of Indian intelligence services. He is codenamed Tiger. He is sent on an important mission to track down a scientist who is suspected of selling a dangerous missile technology to the terrorists.

Katrina Kaif plays a dance student who is also the caretaker of the aforementioned scientist. To get close to the scientist, the agent befriends Katrina and the two fall for each other.

We present an excerpt of the interview: What was it like growing up in a house with six sisters? Do they look up to you?

Oh no, they don’t. There is a certain amount of responsibility that I am now aware I have. I have a family which is dependant on me. They are all strong and incredibly intelligent and when we all do get together, it is really nice. Those are the times that I miss.

It’s also nice to see that there is a whole other world out there and they are surviving and doing great and it’s not just the film industry world that exists.

One of your sisters Isabella is trying to get into the movies. Has she signed something?
No, she’s actually not here. There were a few misreports that she was looking and trying to get into the industry, which is not correct. She is currently in New York. She has been studying for the last two years. She has done her acting training but she’s not here yet. She is yet to decide.

I’m hoping she does and if here’s where she wants to work, then obviously now I think I have some very good friends and obviously, it would be easier for her.

Katrina Kaif has finally agreed to star in Yash Raj Films’ Dhoom 3 opposite Aamir Khan.

The big question that this confirmation throws up is, will cool Kat go ahead with wearing a bikini in the film.

For those who came in late, Katrina was always the first choice for the role. However, a precondition for doing the role was that Katrina would have to wear a two-piece in a couple of scenes in the film.

The superstar actress, despite being eager to work in the film, was reluctant to sport a bikini. While confirming Katrina‘s acceptance of the role, the makers of Dhoom 3 did not, however, mention whether she will wear a two- piece in the film.

Earlier, when Katrina was hesitating to do the role, the makers tried scouting for a fresh face.

“We were unable to find the perfect debutante to play the lead role after almost a year of searching. Briefly, we also tried roping in an international actress but were still unable to find someone who would stand out,” Vijay Krishna Acharya, director of the film, said . “Both (YRF head honcho) Aditya Chopra and I really wanted to be sure that the actress we chose is perfect for the role.

Katrina was an obvious choice for all of us. She is someone who we all know will bring tremendous enthusiasm and commitment to the film. This is also the first time Aamir and Katrina will unite on the screen. That certainly adds value to the project,” Vijay said. Barring her debut film Boom , Katrina has refrained from wearing a bikini in her career so far.
